Butterfly Valley
It is a canyon surrounded with mountains 6 kms far from Oludeniz. It is a secret heaven in earth. You can go there by taxi boats from the Oludeniz. Luckly! There is no road to valley, except a little dangerous trail to Faralya village. The valley inhabited butterflies and local fauna for thousands of years. But for a while mostly because of the daily tours some uneducated! Butterfly Valley is a breathtaking Mediterranean gorge a few kilometers southeast of Oludeniz, near Fethiye. Yachts on day cruises drop anchor here for a swim in the quiet cove, and yachts often come ashore to enjoy the sand beach. Rustic tree houses rent beds at rock-bottom prices. There are few services--but then, the rustic life is the point here. If you hike the Lycian Way, you will pass above Butterfly Valley (Kelebek Vadisi) and get this fantastic view of the valley, the beach and the blue Mediterranean.
